Meade Polaris 114/1000 EQ Reflector Telescope
The Meade Polaris 114mm f/8.8 Equatorial Reflector Telescope is designed for intermediate-level users, offering a comprehensive setup for observing planets, galaxies, star clusters, and nebulae. It includes three eyepieces that provide magnifications of 38.5x, 111x, and 159x. Additionally, a 2x Barlow lens doubles the magnification of each eyepiece, expanding the range of observation possibilities.
The telescope features a manual German equatorial mount with precise Right Ascension (RA) and Declination indicators, enabling users to locate celestial objects based on their coordinates. Dual slow-motion cables allow for smooth tracking. The AutoStar Suite Astronomer Software, included with the telescope, offers a valuable tool for planning observing sessions. It provides information on over 10,000 celestial objects, including planets, stars, galaxies, and nebulae. Star charts can also be printed for field use.
The telescope comes with an adjustable-height stainless steel tripod, ensuring stability during sky-watching sessions. The red-dot finder aids in faster polar alignment and is especially useful for identifying easily recognizable subjects such as the Moon, planets, and constellations.
